Ensure You’re Getting a High Performance Fiber

Get Independent Test Results

A fiber supplier should be able to provide independent testing results from certified laboratories. For high performance structures EPC recommends conducting additional site specific trials. Amongst others, performance results should include;

ASTM C1609, ASTM C1550 or CMOD results
Tensile strength testing to EN 10002-1:2001
Young’s modulus testing to EN 10002-1:2001
Advanced alkalinity testing
Long term durability studies
UV resistance tests

Ensure High Tensile Strength

Macro synthetic fiber concrete reinforcement should have a minimum 500 MPa tensile strength. Low strength synthetic fibers will not be capable of providing any substantial post crack flexural support to a concrete structure.

EPC’s macro synthetic fiber have a tensile strength of 550 MPa to 640 MPa.

Is Your Concrete Workable?

Recyclable Plastic Pallets

EPC’s synthetic fiber concrete reinforcement is shipped on durable, recyclable plastic pallets. Pallets can be easily stacked and stored outdoors with no deterioration of product or packaging.

If you’ve got problems with products falling over, breaking open or corroding before they’re even used, then EPC’s macro synthetic fiber is your answer.

All EPC pallets are wrapped with a weather proof tarpee cover and rain hood for easy storage indoors or outdoors. Rain, hail or shine

Mulchable Bags and Bulka Bags

EPC’s synthetic fiber concrete reinforcement is shipped in 2.5 kg, 3kg and 5 kg mulchable paper bags which dissolve into the concrete during the mixing process.

For projects requiring an automated dosing machine EPC supplies large bulka bags.

Parallel Packing or Pucks

EPC’s macro synthetic fiber is packaged using an internally developed parallel packing method. This technique ensures that when the bag is added to the concrete mix the fibers begin to be evenly distributed throughout the mix, free from balling.

EPC’s synthetic fiber reinforcement is also supplied in “puck form” in mulchable bags and bulka bags.
