In March 2000 EPC entered into a strategic alliance with Hagihara Industries in Japan. Established in 1962 Hagihara is well respected for its market leading technology for manufacturing tough, durable engineered plastic yarns.

This combination of expertise in plastics engineering and concrete technology has realized synthetic materials capable of competing with conventional steel reinforcing on a cost & performance basis.

Safe-to-use, corrosion free concrete reinforcement is a reality today and considering that structural fiber is only in its technological infancy, the future for durable concrete structures is looking very bright indeed.
